Dallas Roughnecks: 2016 AUDL Champions

The Dallas Roughnecks finished a perfect season (17-0) with the American Ultimate Disc League championship.

Dallas went undefeated in the AUDL South Division; (14-0), then won the South Division Championship game to advance to the AUDL Championship Weekend. There, the Roughnecks easily won their semifinal 27-20 over Toronto and then played the first matchup between the South and West Divisions by facing Seattle Cascades in the final. Dallas Roughnecks won AUDL V (Madison, Wisconsin) by the score of 33-27 (20-15 halftime).

  • 33 = highest goal total scored in an AUDL Championship
  • By winning the semi and final games, the Roughnecks won $20,000 in prize money.
  • Dallas became the 4th team to win the AUDL trophy in their first season.
  • This is Beau Kittredge's 3rd consecutive AUDL title.
  • Dallas becomes the 2nd AUDL team to finish a perfect season. [Toronto Rush, 2013]
  • DAlLas roUghnecks = the only team name in the league whose letters can spell the A-U-D-L acronym. Coincidence?
