Impact and Alouettes will not be the only franchise in Montreal part of a North American professional league next spring, since Montreal is about to join the ranks of a professional ultimate frisbee league.

The team, whose name should be determined next week, will be part of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL), one of the two ultimate professional circuits in North America, the other being the Major League Ultimate.

"We looked at both options and ultimately, we chose AUDL, who assured us greater control over the image of our franchise," said Patrick Gratton, one of the seven co-owners of the franchise....

The seven co-owners, who are all passionate about ultimate and some are in business, currently trying to determine where they will play their home games. The Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard, the training ground of the Impact and the Olympic Stadium are among the options considered so far.
