The Washington Post Adds Current to DC Championships Article

Today's page three feature in the Washington Post's daily paper, Express, included a sports item titled "Three D.C.-area sports teams that actually have won recent championships." The 3 identified "local" sports teams were Washington Kastles (World TeamTennis), DC Brawlers (National Professional Grid League), and Chesapeake Bayhawks (Major League Lacrosse).

Since the DC Current were excluded, a "fixed" page three was submitted to Vicky Hallett. Shown below, the image describes the DC Current's 9-1 season and MLU Championship.
"FIXED" page three article for WaPo Express by SLUDGE.

UPDATE: The Washington Post article was updated with FOUR DC teams, now including the DC Current!!!

It now reads: "The city’s Major League Ultimate team doesn’t just toss Frisbees. It’s also good at letting tweets fly — as evidenced by the response when we left their players out of the original version of this story. So let’s hear it for their impressive 9-1 record this season, which culminated in the MLU Championship in July. You win the Internet!"

Thanks, Vicky!

Oh, here's another one for D.C. Scandal who won the USA Ultimate Championship in fall 2013.
